To investigate sea water temperature fluctuations, the water temperature has been measured form the surface to 480-490 m of depth. Temperature samples were taken from four points located in a 20 m from each other. All the sample points are located in Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, from four points from surface to bottom for each 20 m distance in the part of Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea. Offshore measurements include the coldest month (March) of the year.

National parks - areas having status of nature conservative and scientific-research institutions where natural complexes of preferential ecological, historical, aesthetic and likewise importance located on and, used for nature conservative, enlightenment, scientific, cultural and other purposes. Functions of the national parks are as follows: - to preserve natural complexes, exotic and standard natural zones, historical-cultural sites; - to create opportunities for tourism and rest (recreation); - to develop and apply scientific methods of nature conservation and ecological enlightenment; - to enlighten the population from ecological standpoint; - to implement ecological enlightenment; - to restore the damaged natural and historical-cultural complexes and sites.

For the purpose of improvement of waste management in Baku and Sumgayit cities, in accordance with the scheme to improve the ecological condition of polluted territories, surrounding areas of the International Airport named after Aliyev, Lake Absheron peninsula, oil-contaminated soils, underpassed areas and other industrial wastes, Under the President's instruction, the allocation of funds is time-consuming the solution has been realized.
This book is an Azeri-English version of the book "Amazing Caspian Fishes", which was the first of series of books on biodiversity planned by the BP Caspian. The book is intended for senior schoolchildren. With this book, it was wanted to give information about the fish of the Caspian, as an integral part of its biodiversity, since biodiversity is a part of sustainable development.
This is a voluntary review of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the first steps in the implementation of the “Transforming our world: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development” Drafted for submission to the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development. This review reflects on initial conditions and work progress in achieving SDGs, including SDG 14 (Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development) in Azerbaijan Republic as well as the achievements on MDGs, consistency of sustainable development issues with the country's development agenda, main challenges, current hurdles and future steps.
